Honor the extraordinary women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, known as the Six Triple Eight.
During World War II, this all-Black, all-female battalion deployed overseas to tackle a massive backlog of undelivered mail. Working around the clock under the motto “No Mail, Low Morale,” they processed more than 17 million pieces of mail and completed their mission in half the allotted time. U.S. Army history
